I thought that it was all about the kids!? Where is the LOVE for the Player of the year! Not on the roster!?
From T. Peterson: I don’t set the roster so I wouldn’t know. But I do know that Eric Terrazas broke his hip in the last game and is still rehabbing. He wouldn’t be able to play anyway.

I’ve been around the coaching world for quite some time and seen quite a few all star games over those years. So a couple thoughts immediately come to mind:

All these games have been with some form of sponsorships and charities to help market these games. This, in turn, helps maximize the funds raised for the designated charities. Has any of this been disclosed? Is there some sort of board or group overseeing this event? There are tons of other issues such as liability, insurance, security just to name a few. A whole lot of money to be taken in and then dispersed.

Also, how are these players being “selected” as “all stars”? Where are the boundaries? And since when did Diamond Bar and Sam Dimas relocate to the east side of the SGV?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a little pessimistic on many aspects of this event. If they are less than 3 weeks away from this game, when will “more details including rosters be posted”?

This is going to be a disaster. I hope at least they have medical insurance for the players and qualified medical staff on the sidelines. Games like this often incur multiple significant injuries.

How about a bowl coached entirely by guys who have been fired or forced to resign? It might be called the “Don’t let the door hit you on the behind bowl.”
