I know this is way too early to be promoting a lineman competition that won’t take place until the summer. But I thought I would whet the appetite a little bit for all of the bubbas out there who do all the dirty work up front. Also if you’re a coach and you are interested in your team participating you can contact the coaches listed. I will post this again closer to the event.

Yes, Even as a former skill position guy, I have the utmost respect for the hosses in the trenches. In fact, if I (for one) had to narrow down to two aspects as to what separates an elite team from a good team it would be the following: 1. Depth (at every position possible) and 2. Both O and D lines.
It’s never too early to talk about any aspect of football, but it’s especially appropriate to discuss the worth of linemen. The line is where most games are decided, whether we realize it or not.
