- Vida Blue, a three-time World Series champion with the Oakland A’s, passed away Saturday at the age of 73. Blue won the AL Cy Young Award and the MVP in 1971 after going 24-8 with an ERA of 1.82 with 301 strikeouts and 24 complete games. The left-hander is one of just 11 pitchers to win both awards in the same year.
- The Lakers blew out the Golden State Warriors 127-97 Saturday night to take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.
