  1. The Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors 121-106 Wednesday night in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals. The Lakers still lead the series 3-2. 
  2. The SGV Shootout at Arroyo is set for Saturday June 24. 
  3. Walnut’s Eric Peralta will coach the South and Azusa’s Mark Brownstead will coach the North in the North-South All-Star football game at Walnut High School Friday night. 
  4. The Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 95-86 Thursday night to force a Game 7 Sunday in Boston in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. 
  5. The 2023 NFL schedule was released Thursday. The Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the season with a Thursday night game against the Detroit Lions September 7. 
  6. The Rams will open the season at Seattle on Sunday September 10.  
  7.  The Chargers will host the Miami Dolphins in the season opener on September 10. 
  8. Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III pleaded guilty Wednesday to a 2021 drunken driving crash that killed a woman and her dog. Ruggs faces 3-10 years in prison. 
  9. Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will kick off Monday Night Football at home against the Buffalo Bills on September 11. 
  10. The LA Galaxy have just one win through the first ten games.
