  1. Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement after 19 seasons in the NBA. Anthony retired as the number 9 scorer in league history. 
  2. The Denver Nuggets beat the Lakers 113-111 Monday night to sweep the Western Conference Finals in four games. 
  3. The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 116-99 Tuesday night in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.  The Heat leads the series 3-1. 
  4. St. Paul head baseball coach Casey Morales stepped down after 18 years at the helm. 
  5. LeBron James told reporters after the game Monday night that he will “consider” retirement. 
  6. The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 20-1 Tuesday night as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led the way with six RBIs. 
  7. Chicago Cubs outfielder Christopher Morel has homered in five consecutive games and has hit 9 home runs in his last 12 games.  
  8. Chargers running back Austin Ekeler will remain with the team for the final year of his contract with $1.75 million in incentives added to his deal. 
  9. The Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 8-1 Tuesday night to improve to 31-19 on the season and are 1.5 games ahead of the second place Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West. 
  10.  Pete Alonso of the New York Mets leads the league in home runs with 18.
