  1. The Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 126-110 Thursday night to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
  2. The Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 Wednesday night take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. 
  3. The Cleveland Cavaliers fired head coach J.B. Bickerstaff after five seasons. 
  4. The Indiana Fever, who selected Caitlin Clark with the number one pick in the WNBA draft, have started the season 0-5. 
  5. “Legion Hoops” on Twitter (X) is reporting that it’s a real possibility that Chris Paul will join the Lakers. 
  6. The Philadelphia Eagles signed receiver John Ross to a one-year deal. Ross hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2021 and announced his retirement in 2023. 
  7. The Big Ten is moving the USC-Rutgers game to a Friday night. It will now be played October 25 at the LA Coliseum. 
  8. Former NBA star Tracy McGrady turns 45 today.   
  9. La Mirada, Mt. View and Arroyo all celebrated the opening of their renovated on-campus stadiums this week. 
  10. The Las Vegas Raiders have reworked the contract of three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby to give him a $6 million raise for the upcoming season.
