What’s up with El Monte baseball? No wins???

SEM says the same thing every year and every year they lose to Arroyo. Even if the gap is closing, Arroyo still has the horses.

Arroyo, SEM, El Monte, Rosemead, Gab, Mt View.

We have the 1st team all league QB, RB and player of the year WR coming back. EM has no athletes, baseball team can’t we a game and basketball won one game. Plus EM has to play all their games on the road. I know EM has a good staff but they are not miracle workers. SEM, Arroyo, Rosemead, and the rest in league.

That staff still has to call the plays and that talent gap isn’t there anymore. It’s as even as it’s ever been. Now it’s coaching.

Ok then what was deciding factor in the blowout ? I’m just saying a lot has to change , and I’d be happy to wager .

And as MVL currently constructed, that is very good staff in comparison to others ( Rosemead, Gab , etc)

Let’s say Arroyo is not well coached…they still have the best talent. They beat SEM in a close one and win league.
SEM will blow out El Monte for second. El Monte in third and then everyone else.

The Watcher ? I am not educated on the current Arroyo program, but knew Arroyo when they battled for CIF championships in quality division. Yeah I am aged. Please explain why Arroyo will be horrible , especially among one of the weakest leagues in the valley. Is this league weaker than the league with Azusa, Workman etc

Last years score was 42-8 . I don’t know if it was that close . How are you going to get that kind of turnaround unless the entire SEM staff leaves ? They can cover the pass and EM will do well only against those who do not.

I think Arroyo will be better than expected and south will be worse than expected. EM will be ALOT better than expected!

Solid schedule. 7-8 Ws Arroyo is going to be horrible so probably going to come down to them and South.

    South
    EM
    MV
    Mead
    Gab
    Arroyo

Will be the order of the MVL

Good schedule . These are the traditional solid public school programs of a decade or so ago, that have fallen into the SGV mire of mediocrity. Plus the MVL which is likely in free fall ( will this be SEM year ?). Chance for good year for Spat , especially on the offensive side of ball.
I’m thinking 6-4 maybe 7-3 if they can beat Arroyo and get second place in MVL . They could win a playoff game or two if get favorable D13 placing .
