  1. Former Pasadena star Darius Brown II, who played at Utah State last year, has signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a E10 contract. 
  2. Russell Westbrook has agreed to pick up his $4 million option and will return to the Clippers next season. 
  3. James Harden is returning to the Clippers on a two-year, $70 million deal. 
  4. The Detroit Pistons signed J.B. Bickerstaff to a five-year deal to become their new head coach. 
  5. The Golden State Warriors waived guard Chris Paul who is now reportedly set to sign a one-year, $11 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs.   
  6. Paul George has declined his $48.7 million option with the Clippers and will become a free agent. The Philadelphia 76ers are the frontrunners to sign George. 
  7. Former Oakland Raiders quarterback/ number one overall NFL draft pick JaMarcus Russell was fired as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama, and is facing a lawsuit accusing him of taking a $74,000 check meant as a donation to the school. 
  8. Pasadena quarterback Hype Grand led the Bulldogs into the SGV Shootout championship game on June 22 and into the gold bracket Saturday at the Baldwin Park Tournament. 
  9. Former Warren/ Cathedral head football coach Kevin Pearson is back at Cathedral as a consultant. 
  10. After Upland beat Damien Saturday at the Mission Viejo Tournament a fight broke out in the handshake line.

    Does the Cathedral consultant gig keep Pearson on the Honda team, or will he have to hope that Kia calls?
