  1. Free agent Klay Thompson signed a three-year, $50 million contract with the Dallas Mavericks. 
  2. Former Clippers forward Paul George signed a four-year, $212 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. 
  3. Former New York Knicks center, Free agent Isaiah Hartenstein signed a three-year, $87 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder. 
  4. “Athlete Isaiah Lucero, class of 2026 is checking out of Damien and is transferring to Northview High School.” – MysteryMan on Twitter (X).
  5. Former UConn great/ four-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker announced his retirement Tuesday. Walker was drafted by the then Charlotte Bobcats with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 draft and is the team’s all-time scoring leader. 
  6. The Cleveland Cavaliers signed All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell to a three-year, $150.3 million extension. 
  7. The Mt. View 7 on 7 Passing Tournament is set for Saturday July 13. 
  8. Temple City receiver Judah Douglas 2023 stats: 67 rec- 1,207 yds, 11 TD. Avg 18 yards per catch. 
  9. The Miami Marlins designated shortstop Tim Anderson for assignment. Anderson spent eight years with the Chicago White Sox and batted over .300 four consecutive years. 
  10. On this day in 1983 John McEnroe beat Chris Lewis 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 to win Wimbledon and also his fifth career Grand Slam title.

    Best of luck to Klay, but the kid does have a lot of physical injury and rehab in his recent past to cast a cloud on his future. Put another way, he’s probably on the downside of his career.
