Thursday September 5
Diamond Ranch (0-2) at Covina (2-0) (Covina District Field)
Diamond Ranch has gotten off to a rough start while the Covina offense is rocking and rolling. Kwame Parrish has rushed for over 500 yards in the first two games. D-Ranch needs a win in the worst way and will come out with everything they have. The Panthers will be in it until the end but the Colts get their third straight win.
Covina 24 Diamond Ranch 14
El Rancho (1-1) at West Covina (1-1)
El Rancho got a much-needed win last week over Bell Gardens. West Covina bounced back from the loss to Amat with a victory over Los Altos. Both teams like to run the ball. West Covina is a little more physical. The Bulldogs get the win.
West Covina 31 El Rancho 24
Friday September 6
Arcadia (0-1) at Arroyo (1-1)
Arcadia was unable to get it going offensively last week against South Pasadena. Arroyo got off the floor with a big win over Sierra Vista. The Apaches don’t want to start the Eric Elias era 0-2. They should come out swinging. Interesting matchup with former Arroyo head coach Jim Singiser, along with former Arroyo assistant Elias now facing the Knights. Arcadia finds a way.
Arcadia 20 Arroyo 14
Charter Oak (2-0) at Muir (0-1)
The Chargers are the hottest thing going right now in the SGV. Corin Berry is throwing, Legend Lyons and Marquis Bradley are catching and the defense is hitting. Muir is solid but the Mustangs have a death march in the first three game. They won’t start cooking until league. Charter Oak moves to 3-0.
Charter Oak 31 Muir 13
La Serna (1-1) at Warren (0-2)
It’ s a whole different ballgame now at Warren. Quarterback Madden Iamaleava and receiver Jace Brown, both UCLA commits, weren’t at the game last week and have checked out of the school. The Bears were thumped by Serra 36-0 for their second straight loss. La Serna rebounded with a win over Schurr after losing to Damien in the opener. Warren is just not the same. Are any other players leaving? La Serna comes out top.
La Serna 27 Warren 13
Damien (2-0) at St. Paul (2-0)
Another battle for St. Paul. Bishop Amat last week and now Damien Who’s next? Alabama? The Swordsmen have passed every test so far. In Week 0 they came from two scores down to beat Newport Harbor. Last week they just physically punished Amat. Damien has a lot of weapons including quarterback Isaiah Arriaza. They can score points…usually. But so can Amat and St. Paul shut it down. The question is can St. Paul answer the bell again after such an emotional win over Bishop Amat last week? It was the first time St. Paul had beaten Amat since 2000. The answer is yes. Mike Moschetti will have the troops ready. Gabe Castaneda and Joseph Lafferre produce enough on offense and the defense stands tall again. St. Paul improves to 3-0.
St. Paul 24 Damien 21
Colony (0-2) at Chino Hills (1-1)
Colony has gotten off to a rough start. The Titans have the pieces in place but so far it hasn’t come together. Last week the Titans fell to El Modena 42-27. Chino Hills beat Glendora but lost to Charter Oak last week. Two evenly matched teams. Chino Hills gets it done.
Chino Hills 20 Colony 17
Saturday September 7
Maranatha (2-0) at Rio Hondo Prep (2-0)
The Kares are off and running again. They dropped 65 on Poly last week and they have scored 115 points in two games. Maranatha is off to a fast start as well beating Fullerton 35-21 last week after rolling a 34 in the opener. The scoreboard operator won’t get a break. These two will be lighting it up all night. Rio Hondo Prep provides the last spark.
Rio Hondo Prep 42 Maranatha 35

Would you please repost using complete sentences. I couldn’t comprehend what you wrote.
Turns out the 36-0 whopping Serra gave Warren was just the first 20 minutes. Warren admins pulled the team at half time because Warren felt it was to dangerous to play the 2nd half. They said a running clock and an altercation in the parking lot was enough to say “no mas”. La Serna may get a win this week like Alhambra did, a forfeit.
Why did El Monte forfeit those games???
Arroyo won’t win another game will those 3 horrible league teams and those are 50/50. Montebello I got in a close one. MV doesn’t have to go to the air if they did what they had somewhat success with but they coach to much they make the kids think too much on both sides of the ball, they don’t go football players. Gab and Mead horrible.
Arroyo I think they’re gonna drop this one in a close game. Arcadia with the win
SEM I think they also drop this one it won’t be close either Montebello with the win
GAB is gab Hoover with the win
MT.view They can’t get the ball in the air Garey has this one
Rosemead if they can get stops on defense and get in the redzone more I see them winning.
send to Nogales or Sierra Vista, they will let them play there!
So two stars forfeited their entire 2024 season at Warren? Can they play somewhere this season, if so where did they enroll, why did they leave, is Peterson predicting a mass exodus from Warren????
