  1. The Rams beat the Minnesota Vikings 30-20 on Thursday Night Football to improve to 3-4 on the season. 
  2. South Florida men’s head basketball coach Amir Abdur-Rahim passed away suddenly Thursday at the age of 43. 
  3. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. 
  4. Klay Thompson hit six threes and scored 22 points in his debut for the Dallas Mavericks in a season opening 120-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs Thursday night. 
  5. Rutgers (4-3) at USC (3-4) Friday night at the LA Memorial Coliseum. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. 
  6. A moment of silence will be held before Game 1 of the World Series Friday night in memory of Fernando Valenzuela. 
  7. Dodger announcer Charley Steiner, who missed the entire season, said he has been battling cancer for the last year but is now in remission. 
  8. Dodgers top reliever Evan Phillips was left off the World Series roster after he suffered an arm injury in game 6 of the NLCS. 
  9. Lakers rookie guard Bronny James will begin shuttling between the active roster and the G-League.
