Total joke? They won a title a few years ago and played for one this past season. Obviously it’s not the program why they’re leaving.

SG has a great 2026 class coming back. Top returning RB in the SGV Adam Mascorro over 2,000 yards rushing in 2024, three year varsity starter, 2x All League, 1x All CIF. Louie Navarro LB/FB over 100 tackles in 2024 & over 700 yards rushing. Three year varsity starter, 2 x All League and 1 x All CIF. Christopher Ramirez Safety, 10 ints in 2024, tops in SGV, 1 x All CIF. In three years at SG, No loosing season, which is unheard of for the program. Made playoffs all three years and have been to two CIF finals. Kids are winners, they deserve the best available coach.

There’s a possibility that we’ll see Galan land at another school. These kind of resign and re-sign deals happen all the time.

Just goes to show how hard it is to do the head coaching thing. The guy went to a CIF championship and was only on year 2. Admin and school communities really need to do something to incentivize coaching because it’s not worth the time away from families. And if they have someone who has been doing it for 10 plus years, they need to shower him with appreciation, but I’m sure the coach would prefer some more $.

Nice school, nice stadium, weak league. A coach could do worse.
