  It’s tough being a sports fan in Southern California these days. The Lakers and the Clippers finished off disappointing seasons by being bounced in the first round. Both Mike D’Antoni and Vinny Del Negro are in danger of losing their jobs.

For all of you Laker fans fans that are disappointed in Dwight Howard, just think, Andrew Bynum could still be at center. Or actually he wouldn’t be at center since he hasn’t played a game all year.

It would seem it wouldn’t take the death of an owner to get a team motivated but whatever it takes I guess. There have been three straight victories since the death of Dr. Jerry Buss and Dwight Howard is still in the fold so it looks like the Lakers are on the right track.

I found myself rooting for the Boston Celtics Sunday. It felt kind of strange but I believe I’ve hit LeBron overload. He got his championship last year and now everybody proclaims him to be the best basketball player on the planet…ever.

With the NFL playoffs in full swing, the college football season just concluded, the Clippers playing well, and the baseball season on the horizon is there a more tired, old, boring story than the Lakers?
