Mid-Valley Division Top 10 Post week five: The top five teams all won. El Monte moved up with a big win over BG while Arroyo resurfaced by blasting La Canada. Rosemead fell out by falling to Temple City. How good is Gabrielino? We’ll know more when league starts.
Titans aren’t Half Bad, 31-21
(South El Monte) – San Marino erased a seven point deficit and ran off 17 consecutive points in a fourth quarter rally to beat South El Monte 31-21 Friday night at the Swamp.
Gladstone Grinds it Out, 19-13
(Citrus College) – Kevin Amezquita rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another 134 to lead Gladstone to a 19-13 win over Sierra Vista Thursday night. The Gladiators improved to 5-0 (2-0 in league) with the victory.

Rosemead D Shuts Down SG
(Rosemead) – Rosemead’s defense hit, smacked, bruised and eventually beat up San Gabriel 16-6 Friday night in a crosstown rivalry at Marinelli Stadium.
South Hills Survives, 30-27
(Covina) – South Hills opened up a 30-0 lead late in the third quarter and then held on to beat Monrovia 30-27 Thursday night at Covina District Field. The Huskies took advantage of five Wildcat turnovers.
