Undefeated Franklin Pummels Alhambra, 44-9

By Ron Vrooman (Los Angeles) – The Franklin Panthers scored on their first five possessions, building a 34-0 lead on their way to a 44-9 victory over the Alhambra Moors in an intersectional game played Friday night at Franklin High School.

La Salle Blows out Rosemead, 48-0

By Rich Whittington (Pasadena) – Playing on a hot, rainy, night, courtesy of Hurricane Kay, the La Salle Lancers proved that Kay was not the only storm in town, as they pummeled the visiting Rosemead Panthers, 48-0, during periods of strong wind, hard rain, and excessive heat at Kohorst Field.
