By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – There were 12 pitchers used, 29 hits, four home runs, 26 runs scored and an undetermined amount of momentum swings Saturday afternoon at Azusa Pacific. When the dust finally cleared it was the Cougars who were the last team standing in a 15-11 win over Hawaii Pacific.
Cougars’ Season Ends in Elite Eight
By Tim Peterson (Evansville, IN) – Troy Leaf scored 29 points but it wasn’t enough as Azusa Pacific fell to Indiana (PA) 69-65 Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Elite Eight is Great for APU
(Azusa) – Azusa Pacific went on a 27-8 run to open the second half and went on to beat Cal Baptist 91-79 Monday night at Felix Event Center. With the victory the Cougars advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Cougars Start Slow, Advance Fast, 75-67
By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Azusa Pacific started slow, got even at half and then finished fast in a 75-67 win over Western Oregon in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs. The NCAA playoff win was the first in school history.
