By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Petar Kutlesic scored a career high 34 points to lead Azusa Pacific to an 82-71 win over Western Oregon Friday night at Citrus College. 

Cougar Defense Locks Down Western Oregon

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Azusa Pacific’s defense held Western Oregon to zero yards passing and just 29 overall in the first half and went on to beat the Wolves 33-8 Saturday night at Citrus College on Senior Night.

Cougars Wrap up GNAC, 44-7

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Andrew Elffers threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns and the defense forced four turnovers as Azusa Pacific routed Central Washington 44-7 Saturday night before a Homecoming crowd at Citrus College. With the victory, the Cougars (8-1) wrapped up the GNAC title. 

Azusa Pacific Overwhelms Humboldt State 45-13

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Azusa Pacific jumped out to a 24-6 halftime lead and rolled to a 45-13 win over over Humboldt State Saturday night at Citrus College.

Cougars Clobber the Canadians, 64-14

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Azusa Pacific jumped out to a 41-7 halftime advantage and rolled to a 64-14 rout of Simon Fraser Saturday night at Citrus College.

Montebello 41 Azusa 13 – FINAL

(Glendora) – Montebello broke open a tie game early in the third quarter and rolled to a 41-13 win over Azusa Thursday night at Citrus College.

South Edges North at Citrus

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Valley Christian’s Jesse Smith hit fellow teammate Robert Downs on a 27-yard touchdown late in the third quarter to give the South a 7-6 win over the North in the first annual All-Star game at Citrus College Friday night.
