High School Girls Basketball Top 25

Congratulations to all teams that went deep into the playoffs.

After the rankings are the Coach of the Year, All-midvalleysports.com team, and players to watch next season.

  1. Bonita (28-4) – Now the State playoffs for battle tested team.
  2. Bishop Amat (24-7) – Lancers couldn’t keep Bearcats from exploding in semifinals.
  3. Diamond Ranch (18-11) – Unfortunate end to deep playoff run.
  4. Poly (26-2) – Division 5A champs.
  5. Valley Christian (19-10) – Crusaders nearly pulled off upset in semifinals.
  6. Keppel (27-2) – Lost to eventual champions Canyon in the semifinals.
  7. Burroughs (25-5) – Indians will be young next year.
  8. Mayfair (20-11) – Will lose only two players from quarterfinal team.
  9. Muir (21-8) – Lost to eventual champs Serra in quarterfinals.
  10. Los Angeles Baptist (18-11) – Couldn’t get past Bishop Montgomery in quarters.
  11. Duarte (25-2) – Ran into hot team in playoffs.
  12. La Salle (19-11) – Were tied heading into second against tough St. Anthony’s team.
  13. Rio Hondo Prep (21-7) – Kares nearly were fitted for a crown.
  14. Pasadena (18-11) – High expectations didn’t match results on the court.
  15. Sierra Vista (19-6) – Return heart and soul in Estrella Rivera.
  16. Monrovia (17-7) – Gina Henderson and Joelle Tucker return next season.
  17. Arcadia (14-12) – Incredible turnaround season for head coach Don Young.
  18. Walnut (17-11) – Tough season for Mustangs in new league.
  19. South Pasadena (17-9) – Second best in Rio Hondo League.
  20. Wilson (21-7) – Happy to be in a new league.
  21. Whittier (21-7) – Dominant in Del Rio League.
  22. St. Lucy’s (15-11) – Young team will only get better after nice run to playoffs.
  23. Northview (17-11) – Will have to find another Claudia Ramirez next season.
  24. Glenn (19-9) – Team never got into rhythm during the season.
  25. West Covina (14-13) – Bulldogs had it tough in Hacienda League.
