(Montebello)- The 2011 pattern for the La Salle Lancers continues; get an early lead and then watch it slip away. This how they fell to 0-5 and the Bosco Tech Tigers rose to 5-0.
La Salle built an early 14-0 lead, but the most dangerous Tiger of all, Johnathan Silvas took a kick-off back 92-yards to cut the lead in half.
A field goal and a Dillon Welsh scoring pass to Christopher Alvarez put Bosco Tech up 17-14.
After the Lancers scrambled for a field goal to tie it at 17-17, the Tigers pulled away with three yard touchdown run by Adam Uballez.
Kicker Max Umanzor padded the B-Tech adavantage with a 22-yard field goal.
A late scoring pass from Austin Wallis to Josh Hall narrowed the gap for La Salle to 27-24 but it could not prevent the Lancers from dropping their 16th consecutive contest.
