Southeast Division Top 20

Burroughs has Arcadia's number.

One team made itself known that the Pacific League goes through Burbank’s flatlands. West Covina has established itself as the team to beat in the Southeast after dismantling Diamond Bar.

Del Rio League play starts and Santa Fe is just happy to have had a week off after a nightmarish preseason. Bellflower and Mayfair are atop the standings in the Suburban, while La Mirada is stalking both teams in third.

  1. West Covina (5-1) – Chris Solomon, Jimmy Frazier, Aaron Salgado a nightmare for defenses.
  2. Mayfair (3-2) – Monsoons escape in OT against Norwalk.
  3. La Serna (4-1) – Isaiah Osorio and Faris Nesheiwat lead the Lancers in sacks with four.
  4. Diamond Ranch (3-3) – We’ve seen this type of streak before.
  5. Burroughs (2-3) – Is there any other team in the Pacific that hit as hard as the Indians?
  6. Arcadia (3-2) – Comeback falls short after sleep-walking through first half.
  7. El Rancho (4-1) – Dons can show they are for real with win over Santa Fe.
  8. Bonita (2-3) – Could be dangerous with two-weeks to prepare for Bulldogs.
  9. California (4-1) – Condors defense stepping up big by allowing just 56 points in five games.
  10. Crescenta Valley (4-1) – A healthy Marro Lee makes a big difference in Falcon Country.
  11. Santa Fe (1-4) – Can’t afford to start 0-1 in Del Rio with so many improved teams.
  12. Bellflower (4-2) – Bucs doing it on offense and defense.
  13. Los Altos (5-1) – Shane Virnala was nearly perfect in win over Rowland.
  14. La Mirada (2-4) – Six different Matadores scored in win over Artesia.
  15. Burbank (3-2) – Cupcake part of schedule is done, now must face Arcadia without three starters.
  16. Muir (2-3) – Spike in ankle injuries at local Pasadena hospitals after many jump off bandwagon.
  17. Whittier (3-2) – Going the wrong way heading into Del Rio League portion of schedule.
  18. Pasadena (2-3) – That would’ve been a huge hole to dig out of with loss to Glendale.
  19. Diamond Bar (2-4) – Now Brahmas are in must-win mode the rest of the season.
  20. Glenn (3-3) – Still can’t beat Bellflower in the 2000’s.
