Bold Call: Rosemead Beats Arroyo Friday Night

Rosemead QB Adan Guillen

I’ve been saying it for a week now; Arroyo is cruisin’ for a bruisin’

Arroyo’s a nice team, that needs to play better. I just get the feeling everyone is waiting around for Steven Rivera (one of the greatest high school players I’ve ever seen up close) to always pull a rabbit out of the hat. He always needs to be great instead of merely good. Examples would be the La Canada game, the first half against South El Monte.

Rosemead quarterback Adan Guillen is capable of making enough plays (think former Gabrielino quarterback Paul Zuniga) with receivers like Steven San Miguel, Christian Garcia, and tight end Danny Villalobos that the Knights are going to have to play him honest. Meaning they load the box on Matt Eddy at their own risk.

The Panthers are at home, there will be a lot of emotion, and these games always seem to turn on a dime. Big hit, sloppy play, key return…

The staffs know each other very well. No surprises, the winner will be the team playing to win not the one waiting for a miracle.
