Rosemead Head Coach Matt Koffler Resigns

Matt Koffler steps down as Rosemead’s head coach

(Rosemead) – Matt Koffler announced that he has stepped down as head coach at Rosemead Tuesday night at the team banquet.  

This was Koffler’s second stint as head coach at hs alma mater. He was at the helm from 1999 – 2001 before resigning. He returned in 2004. Rosemead missed the playoffs only twice during that span – ’99 and this past season. 
Koffler led the Panthers to the semi finals in 2001 and to the Finals in 2008 where they lost to Paraclete.
Koffler’s overall record is 79-45 and he has won four Mission Valley League titles during his tenure.
An emotional Koffler cited the main reason for his resignation as a chance to spend more time with his family and to watch his kids grow up. His son played Junior All American football last year. 
Current Defensive Coordinator Marc Paramo will apply of the job and is the leading candidate to fill the position.
