Apaches Rolling in Cucamonga Classic

By Corey Kwok

Rancho Cucamonga Cougar Classic:

Arcadia 4 — Carter (Rialto) 1

Another pitcher went the distance to paint Arcadia another win, and on this occasion, senior and second year letterman Andrew Cordeiro was king of the hill. Cordeiro issued one run on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts and turned his back on a 1-0 first  inning deficit to serve zeroes thereafter, vaulting to his third win in as many decisions.

Gary Huang, Brandon Benson, and Philip Juarez all went 2 for 3 to lead Arcadia at the plate. The Apaches have been scheduled to play for the tournament championship against the Upland Scots Thursday morning, 11:00am, at Upland Memorial Park.
