(Pasadena) – Muir furthered an explosive start to its Pacific league campaign with a thorough 63-0 dissection of Hoover.
Quarterback Josh Muema accounted for seven touchdowns covering all three offensive categories with five passing, one rushing, and his seventh via reception on a 19-yard fade out of the shotgun from Mark Samuels in the final stanza.
Muema had hit Samuels for a 25-yard strike to start it all at 9:49 in the first before Taeon Mason whirled by the Tornadoes for a 46-yard touchdown run as Muir led 14-0 in the first.
Jajuan Brown recovered two fumbles while Isaac Brooks darted to paydirt off a blocked punt 26-yards to bookend scoring for the Mustangs, who have outscored CV and now Hoover by a combined 99-0 in improving to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the Pacific.
