[Montebello] – Monrovia’s Kurt Scoby finds the end zone four times in the Wildcats 41-6 victory over Montebello Friday night at Montebello high School.

The Oilers defense stopped Monrovia on their first drive, but a dropped punt return gave the ball right back to M-Town and Scoby took it to the house from 32-yards out on his first carry of the game.

*** Montebello won the coin flip and chose to defer.

*** Wildcats’ Kurt Scoby finished with 11-carries for 230-yards and four touchdowns. The 230-yards puts Scoby at 2,026-yards rushing on the season.

*** Mid Valley Divisions’ second leading rusher Issac Medibles had 24-yards rushing for the Oilers before leaving the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.

*** Wildcats QB Deshawn Potts went 8 of 12 for 83-yards, he had a 54-yard pass to Octavius Spencer who took it to paydirt. Potts also had 102-yards on the ground.

*** Montebello’s first drive ended with a missed field goal.

*** Oilers QB Angel Hernandez took over for Carlos China in the second half and finished 2 of 7 for 33-yards and a touchdown pass to Christian Amaya as time expired.

*** RB Simeon Poggi finished with 60-yards rushing for Montebello.

*** M-Town held Montebello to 148-total yards.

*** Monrovia moves on to the semi-finals in the Mid Valley Division playoffs to face Paraclete.

*** Oilers finish their 2013 campaign 8-4 and Almont League champs
