Keppel Names Tuttle…Officially

After weeks of speculation, Mark Keppel officially named John Tuttle as its head football coach.

Acting Principal John Scanlan informed Mid Valley Sports on Tuesday night that Tuttle would also be on campus as a teacher.

“We’re excited to have Coach Tuttle on board to build the program and help it grow through the coming years,” said Scanlan. “He has a track record of turning a program around and we’re looking forward to the same here at Keppel. Coach Tuttle will also be on campus as a PE teacher, which we believe will go a long way toward building the long-term viability and success of the program.”

Tuttle, who prepped at San Marino High School, made numerous stops as an assistant before landing at Glendale as its head coach in 2012. In three seasons helming the Nitros, Tuttle produced a 10-20 record. That compares favorably to the programs three years prior to Tuttle when they went 4-26.
