(Pomona) – Cathedral won the “Red Devils Shootout” Saturday at Pomona. There were 20 teams overall with Cathedral playing out of Group C with West Covina, Locke, Pomona and Bolsa Grande.
The Phantoms beat Oaks Christian in the semis and then knocked off Heritage in the Final.
Cathedral is led by Sophomore quarterback Bryce Young who threw for 1445 yards and 14 touchdowns last year while splitting time with senior Andrew Tovar.

You say you’re playing those schools because they are ex coaches???? What a box of BS! You have ex coaches at Downey too why not us? By that logic shall we expect Mary Star of the sea on the schedule next year? lol I hope this backfires and your margin of victory is so big CIF bumps you to D1. To a Real Idiot Dowwnton So. gate. The reason we are playing those school’s is Ex- Cathedral Coaches are Head Coaches at Arcadia Maxie ans Lynwood Coach Knox. Santa Fe needed to fill Their Schedule and they called Coach Pee for a 2 year series. We never tried to get out of a game with Loyola. We will beat them again. You are just a dumbcrap Hater.
Cathedral has two ideologies
Passing Circuit- take on any and all comers.
Season- we are a Division 3 team. But we will only play Division 9 or higher
This will perhaps be their most talented teams EVER. And look at who Pee has lined up. No disrespect intended to Arcadia Santa Fe Lynwood but D3 shouldn’t be playing D9. Pick up the phone Pee Downey will take that open date left by Loyola you weaseled out of.

From T. Peterson: Actually they do. There were several players missing from the One Blood Tournament because they were taking their SAT exams.
Like everybody else Cathedral did not have Their Seniors there because of SAT’S.
I Heard The Phantoms looked very Strong in This Tournament. The Phantoms will be in Three tuff Tournaments. Edison, USC, Rams. Also Cathedral will be in The Bonita Tournament.
