    Are you crazy…Schurr does not need Lance Babb II to Best Keppel….What about the other receivers….just as surehanded ….plus on the ground…Schurr doesn’t depend on one person to win a contest…..they will do just as well without Babb….they do better with him ….but to beat keppel they don’t need him ….in fact you see a lot of 2nd and 3rd teasers in….what kind of drug are you on to imagine keppel has that kind of chance….and what year and time has keppel ever beat Schurr….better yet when was the last time keppel ever beat any team..

    to all Cathedral fans and athletes and coaches your guys talk all the sack , yet a ton of good schools call you and you hear the name and answer “This is a recording, please leave a message” LOL , you do not care about competing unless it is obligated on you,
    I stated I will donate 100K to your program if you can beat all ,like arroyo is undefeated this season and they are playing in the same level, you play these;
    Sierra Canyon ,Long Beach Poly, Oaks Christian,, Serra , Charter Oak, Mater Dei, Saint Francis, Alemany, Downey , Los Altos all in one season ,and win all the games, some are in your league and you must play them , but the rest go ahead and schedule, And do not worry when is time to pay I will , I can even deposit the money with MVS, stop talking S#!+ Cathedral and stop making excuses , by the way, are they not Catholic at that school ? lying?, cheating? stealing? is not part of your bible? You all are pathetic at Cathedral your stand for all the wrong and not the good that comes with a religious institution, MY MONEY IS GOOD ,if you loose 3 games you can donate 2,000 to each of those schools, if you want after making excuses that you didn’t prepare. LOL.

    @ Wtf: You’re absolutely right. The Montebello Oilers and the Alhambra Moors are both coming out of a bye week, so both teams have had two weeks to prepare for tomorrow night’s game.
    So, if Alhambra manages to pull off an upset on the Oilers’ home field, would it mean that Montebello coach Pete Gonzalez has no excuse for losing? Let’s not have a double standard here.
    Coach Eric Bergstrom led the Moors to their first CIF playoff appearance in five years last season, and Alhambra still has a shot at finishing over .500 this year. But, some individuals, including “Moor,” continue to push for his removal.

    I’ll try once again to lend some perspective here.
    I worked for Gil Ruedaflores during his last seven seasons as head coach at Alhambra High. He was extremely dedicated, but he might not have lasted for 21 seasons at AHS if these same critics had been around to apply the same standards that they’re currently using to judge Coach Bergstrom.
    Coach Ruedaflores did not have a winning season until his sixth year (1994), and only two of his teams (in ’94 and ’96) had winning records during his first 11 years.
    Then, Coach’s teams won in eight of his last 10 seasons (2000-09), enabling him to retire with a career mark of 111-110-2. That’s right, at one game over .500.
    On the upside, Coach Ruedaflores led the Moors to 12 playoff appearances and made AHS football competitive again. He also cared greatly about his players and students. That should be his legacy at Alhambra High School.

    As I see it, Coach Bergstrom can still build a legacy, and he should be given the opportunity to do so.

    @SH: I know my prediction is a reach. My prediction results from having seen both teams, one twice. My prediction is not based on coaching prowess as much as the athletes I’ve seen on the field. I would not bet even money on DR but would not be at all surprised by the upset. DR has better team speed and a better defensive interior line. But I can easily see how someone that only reads box scores could see my take as not serious.

    @pac5,
    That’s why nobody takes you serious, Charter Oak blows out D Ranch. Eric Martinez made his name at Upland for recruiting not coaching. Eric will not out coach anybody but in time he will have the most talent on the field. Best recruiter is high school sports.

    Yea hammered from what I hear the score doesn’t indicate the difference. You guys scored a late TD in garbage time. So yea hammered. Don’t make Loyola out yo be something special they are the lowest rated D1 team. This the same team that gave a struggling Amat with a 3rd string Qb no less it’s first victory.

    We at Alhambra expect to be in real battles against Montebello, Bell Gardens, and Schurr.
    We’re well aware of Montebello’s explosiveness on offense, and the Oilers will remain the defending Almont League champs until another team knocks them off.
    Schurr has one of the area’s best passing attacks, and the Spartans have a pretty good defense as well.
    The Bell Gardens Lancers have almost always been a very physical squad. In addition, any team that is coached by Margarito Beltran should not be underestimated.
    None of this is news to us.
    I look forward to our game at Montebello on Friday night; it will definitely be a challenge for the Moors.

    I’ll believe it when I see it… we’ve all heard that before. We’ll add St Paul and Salesian from the brutal Angelus ok how’s that? If indeed you guys are keeping Loyola on after that drubbing you guys took. I did hear Chaminade wanted to play you but you added D11 Arcadia instead this year. The only the to fear is fear itself. Step up your schedule stop calling out double digit division teams out you’re D2 mate…Act like it.

    Don’t see it happening. I’ve seen both play in person this year. Alhambra vs Temple City and Montebello vs St Paul. Granted I know MHS beat SP and it’s definitely not the same SP teams of old. However they’re definitely not TC either. Montebello defense has struggled this year so because of that there is a chance for Alhambra. Just don’t think Alhambra realizes how physical Montebello is on offense. Montebello by 20+

    Haha I agree that Fred knows very little
    The Santa Fe over Downey was laugher for sure. Aram was the brains of that operation. I just watched his 2 min drill for Arroyo and SEM I’m not even sure he watched the games lmfao he said last years game was a blow out…SMH that game was tied at halftime and late into the third had it not been for two turnovers in arroyo territory on consecutive plays the score isn’t what it ended Arroyo still wins because that’s part of the game but a blowout it was not.
    @Angelus fan I didn’t bash Cathedral today. I stated a fact that you played on team on your level and you lost. That’s isn’t smack that’s real. And If SEM beats us I’ll make no excuses whatsoever if we get beat it’s ok we’ll survive lol. I hope St Francis puts the smack down on you guys though. And you talk of pop warner teams lol we’ve played Covina and Schurr both teams rated highly in their respective divisions one in our same division the other team one below. you guys will play down 10 divisions lol that my friend is playing pop warner football.

    Cathedral did not get hammered against Loyola. They did not prepare for that game and goy beat. I don’t understand why you keep hammering Cathedral when they have nothing to do with Arroyo. Friday Knight, look who Arroyo has been playing a bunch of pop warner teams. I hope So. Elmonte will put an end to your Smack talk.
