Well said, preach my brother! Amazing to see this going on at Schurr. They weren’t the first but definitely not the last Spartans to get football scholarships out of HS.

Get politics out of here! I’m tired of divisive racist tactics of the gop and the soft politically correct dems. This is a sports board which we argue enough about our sports.

It’s a terrific university, it’s close to home, it’s (largely) paid for, and (as far as I know) it’s not the sort of place where you have to fight against your coaches if you want to get a meaningful education, unlike plenty of big-time programs.

You are obviously lacking knowledge in so many areas. UC Davis is a solid football school with a good, competitive tradition. The kid chose UC Davis because it was where he wanted to be. Where did you play division 1 college football?

If Lance Babb would have gone to MHS, then he would have receive no offers…. If Salazar was still the coach at Schurr, no one would know who Lance Babb is. Huge Congrats to Lance and the Schurr Staff!!!

Spartan 89 I graduated from Schurr in the early 80s went to ELAC and got a scholly to the University of Washington (out of ELAC) to play football. Lets not talk down local JCs, they have their purpose!

So how many kids has Pete sent to play D-1 collegiate football his 8 years at MHS? It’s the kids choice to attend what school he wants to go to, not the coaches. The young man should be able to compete as a freshman. Great for him!

Oiler Faithful you are an idiot… the kids ultimately choose which school from all his offers. The kid wants to stay close to home and play for a school and programs with lots of upside and the opportunity to start immediately. Where did you play college? ELAC? Don’t down play his scholarship. Idiot! Where are your players going again? Last time I checked the qb is going to ELAC!

Muir oversold tickets to their small gym. They won’t guarantee entrance to online tix, defeating the purpose of said tix. It’s business as usual for Sirhan Sirhan (RKF assassin) high school

How does Lance Babb only sign with UC Davis? Thought he was a way better player than that. Looks like Ramos dropped the ball on that one. Congratulations to him.
