(Van Nuys) – Dante Cornell threw a pair of touchdown passes and Cameron Taylor returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown to lead Pasadena to a 28-7 win over St. Genevieve Friday night at LA Valley College to kick off the 2019 season.
Cornell hit Xavier Harris for a2 three-yard score in the first quarter and found Romel Veal in the second from six-yards out as the Bulldogs opened up a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
Audante Bailey also scored on a five-yard run. St. Genevieve got on the board late in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a date at Maranatha in two weeks.
