  1. USC beat Cal State Northridge 89-49 Tuesday night at Galen Center to open the 2021-’22 College Basketball season. 
  2. The Bonita at Cypress Division 4 CIF second round game has been moved to Saturday night at 5:00 p.m. 
  3. Duke beat Kentucky 79-71 Tuesday night to open the College Basketball season.     
  4. The USC-California football game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to December 4 due to COVID-19 issues in the Cal program. 
  5. College Football Playoff Rankings: 1. Georgia 2. Alabama 3. Oregon 4. Ohio State. 
  6. The Green Bay Packers were fined $300,000 and Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard were fined $14,650 each for COVID -19 protocol violations. 
  7. The Dodgers signed left-hander Andrew Heaney to a one-year, $8.5 million contract. 
  8. The LA Kings have won six straight and are now 7-5-1 on the year. 
  9. Golden State guard Stephen Curry scored 50 points in a 127-113 win over the Atlanta Hawks Monday night as the Warriors improved to 9-1. 
  10. On this day in 1988 the Dodgers’ Orel Hershiser was named the NL Cy Young Award winner.
