  1. USC beat Arizona 45-37 Saturday to improve to 7-1 on the season. 
  2. UCLA beat Stanford 38-13 Saturday night to improve to 7-1 on the season. 
  3. The San Francisco 49ers beat the Rams 31-14 Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The Rams dropped to 3-4 on the season.  
  4. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Georgia 2. Tennessee 3. Ohio St. 4. Michigan 5. Clemson. 
  5. The Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 121-110 Sunday night for their first win of the season. They are now 1-5.
  6. Charter Oak, which went 10-0 on the season, has to travel to Yorba Linda for the first round of the CIF SS Division 3 Playoffs. 
  7. Five teams from the Almont got in the CIF SS Playoffs. The Rio Hondo and the Mission Valley Leagues each got four teams in.  
  8. AP College Basketball Preseason Top 5: 1. North Carolina 2. Gonzaga 3. Houston 4. Kentucky 5. Kansas. 
  9. Alhambra, which lost to San Gabriel 21-13 in overtime Friday night, will now face San Gabriel again in the first round of the Division13 CIF SS Playoffs. 
  10. Bonita, 6-4 overall and 1-2 in the Mountain West, was left out of the CIF SS Playoffs. Bonita had wins over San Dimas, Claremont and Northview, all playoff teams.

    Almont and Trinity must be the best two leagues in the Southern Section. Both leagues have 5 teams qualified for the playoffs

    Big loss for fans and players of Bonita High not get to see their team play on. Coaches and players earned the right to play.
