  1. The Houston Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 Saturday night to win the World Series in six games.
  2. UCLA beat Arizona State 50-36 Saturday night to improve to 8-1 on the year. 
  3. Notre Dame beat previous undefeated Clemson 35-14 Saturday. Clemson is now 8-1. 
  4. The Rams lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-13 Sunday as Tom Brady threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Cade Otton with nine seconds left. The Rams dropped to 3-5 on the season.    
  5. LSU beat Alabama 32-31 Saturday. Both teams are now 7-2. 
  6. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Georgia 2. Ohio St. 3. Michigan 4. TCU 5. Tennessee. 
  7. The Chargers beat the Atlanta Falcons 20-17 to improve to 5-3 on the year. 
  8. LAFC beat the Philadelphia Union on penalty kicks Saturday to win the MLS Cup. The game was tied 3-3 after 120 minutes before LAFC won 3-0 penalty kicks. 
  9. Arroyo at Los Altos, Second Round Division 12 CIF Playoffs, Thursday night, 7:00 p.m. 
  10. Monrovia (56) and El Monte (55) scored a combined 111 points in their CIF First Round playoff games Friday night. They both lost.
