- The Houston Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 Saturday night to win the World Series in six games.
- UCLA beat Arizona State 50-36 Saturday night to improve to 8-1 on the year.
- Notre Dame beat previous undefeated Clemson 35-14 Saturday. Clemson is now 8-1.
- The Rams lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-13 Sunday as Tom Brady threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Cade Otton with nine seconds left. The Rams dropped to 3-5 on the season.
- LSU beat Alabama 32-31 Saturday. Both teams are now 7-2.
- AP College Football Top 5: 1. Georgia 2. Ohio St. 3. Michigan 4. TCU 5. Tennessee.
- The Chargers beat the Atlanta Falcons 20-17 to improve to 5-3 on the year.
- LAFC beat the Philadelphia Union on penalty kicks Saturday to win the MLS Cup. The game was tied 3-3 after 120 minutes before LAFC won 3-0 penalty kicks.
- Arroyo at Los Altos, Second Round Division 12 CIF Playoffs, Thursday night, 7:00 p.m.
- Monrovia (56) and El Monte (55) scored a combined 111 points in their CIF First Round playoff games Friday night. They both lost.
