  1. The Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 117-112 Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals. 
  2. The Denver Nuggets beat the Phoenix Suns 97-87 Monday night to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. 
  3. The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 119-115 Monday night to take a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. 
  4. The New York Knicks beat the Miami Heat 111-105 in Game 2 Tuesday night to tie the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series at 1-1. 
  5. Bonita at Arcadia Wednesday, 3:15 p.m. CIF Division 1 Baseball playoffs- 1st Round.
  6. Former Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III will plead guilty to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in a 2021 case in which he’s accused of killing a woman in a car crash. 
  7. Baseball: South El Monte beat Webb 4-1 Tuesday in the CIF Division 7 Wild Card A game and will now face Don Bosco Tech Wednesday in the Wild Card B game.   
  8. 76ers center Joel Embiid, who has missed the last two weeks with a sprained lateral collateral ligament in his right knee, was named the NBA’s MVP for the 2022-’23 season Tuesday. 
  9. The Green Bay Packers signed quarterback Jordan Love to a one-year extension. 
  10. Veteran major league shortstop Didi Gregorious has signed with Union Laguna Algodoneros of the Mexican League the team announced Tuesday. Gregorious has played in the major leagues for 11 years including four years with the New York Yankees and the last three with the Philadelphia Phillies
