  1. The Dodgers acquired right-hander Lance Lynn and RH reliever Joe Kelly from the Chicago White Sox for two Double-A pitchers and outfielder Trayce Thompson. 
  2. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will be out several weeks with a calf strain. 
  3. Former Pro Bowl New Orleans Saints guard Trai Turner, who just signed this week, tore his quadriceps and will miss the entire 2023 season. 
  4. Baldwin Park’s football schedule for this season has been updated and the Braves now have four Thursday night games. 
  5. The Texas Rangers acquired pitcher Max Scherzer from the New York Mets for minor league infielder Luisangel Acuna who is the younger brother of Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. 
  6. Terence “Bud” Crawford scored a ninth-round TKO over Errol Spence Jr. to capture the undisputed welterweight championship Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Crawford is now 40-0 with 31 knockouts. Spence was 28-0 coming in. 
  7. John Mozeliak, president of baseball operations for the St. Louis Cardinals, said the club is not trading third baseman Nolan Arenado. 
  8. The Dodgers lost to the Cincinnati Reds 9-0 Sunday and lost two out of three in the series. 
  9. Rams RB Sony Michel announced his retirement after a five-year career. Michel, who played for the New England Patriots as well is a two-time Super Bowl champion. 
  10. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban turns 65 today.
