Rams Notes: 1/22/25

By Tim Byrnes

Getting ready for the draft. I’ve been watching the wide receiver video.

TCU’s #2 receiver, Jack Bech, is a beast. At 6-2/215, he’s bigger and slightly faster than Puka Nacua with a great change of direction.

(Puka checks in at 6-2/205)

He’s a physical receiver who can play multiple spots and loves to block. He uses a stiff arm and lacks long speed. He sounds like a Rams receiver already.

Bech projects as a 4th rounder and someone the Rams should keep an eye on.

Today at 5:PM on YouTube.

Of course, while studying Bech, you get film on the #1 receiver for the Horned Frogs, Savion Williams. He checks in at 6-5/225. PFF projects him as the 6th best receiver in the 2025 draft. A three-year starter played a lot in the slot and projects as a second-day guy.

A former quarterback with great speed in the open field, Williams has a high drop rate and is not a great route runner. His blocking needs improvement.

The last time the Rams took two receivers in the same draft from the same school was when they took Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey out of West Virginia in 2013.

That didn’t work out great…and Savion Williams may be long gone by the time the Rams pick on the second day…But Bech is worth keeping an eye on.
