- The Las Vegas Raiders hired Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek as their new general manager.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars fired GM Trent Baalke Wednesday.
- The Arcadia Boys basketball team, after scoring just 35 points last Thursday night in a win over Burbank, beat Hoover 82-45 Tuesday night.
- Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden is returning to the Cincinnati Bengals as their DC.
- The Miami Heat suspended forward Jimmy Butler for two games for missing a team flight. This was the second incident for Butler in the last two weeks. He just returned last Friday from a seven-game team suspension for multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team.
- Hoover has hired Jordan Ward as its new head football coach.
- The Atlanta Braves signed outfielder Jurickson Profar to a three-year, $42 million deal. Profar hit .280 with 24 home runs and 85 RBIs last year with the San Diego Padres.
- The Angels signed two-time All-Star and former Chicago White Sox/Miami Marlins shortstop Tim Anderson to a minor league contract.
