(La Canada) – Maximo Adams scored 25 points and Gavin Hightower added 12 to lead Sierra Canyon to a 77-48 rout of St. Francis Friday night in Mission League action on the Golden Knights’ home floor.
Sierra Canyon, leading by four after the first quarter, put the game away right out of the gate in the second going on a 15-0 run to take a commanding 33-14 lead. Adams led the charge with 10 of the 15 points with two bombs from beyond the arc and a two-handed jam. He also knocked down a couple free throws and the rout was on. Sierra Canyon outscored St. Francis 27-5 in the quarter.

The Trailblazers extended the lead to 26 at halftime and 30 in the third quarter rendering nearly the entire second half an exhibition.
Bryce Cofield was also in double figures with 11 for Sierra Canyon and had a big jam while Jayden Alexander finished with seven. Bryce James, son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, and an Arizona commit, hit two threes in the first half and scored six points.
The Golden Knights stayed with Sierra Canyon in the first quarter as Noah Henry hit two from long distance and scored six while DeLan Grant had four. But in the second quarter it got away and the Trailblazers never looked back.

Henry hit four threes in the game and led St. Francis in scoring with 21. Grant had 15 and Ben O’Connor made three treys and added nine points. Those were the only players that scored for the Golden Knights.
Sierra Canyon improved to 18-3 on the season and 4-0 in the Mission League with the victory while St. Francis dropped to 14-8 and 0-4.
