During the course of the 2015 season, there were several times that Cathedral head coach Kevin Pearson was criticized for not running the ball enough. Even down in the red zone the Phantoms would drop back and throw the ball instead of giving it to one of the backs.

Cathedral’s defense pitched two shutouts and allowed just 13 points or less in seven of its 13 games, and 20 points or less in all but two games.
