A Closer Look at the Valle Vista

Covina’s win over Baldwin Park placed the Colts in control of the Valle Vista. They’re business isn’t finished yet though as they still have to battle San Dimas on November 5- their last game of the regular season.

A Closer Look at the Olympic

Valley Christian jumped into first place but it wasn’t been easy. The Crusaders needed five overtimes to hold off Maranatha in the greatest game played this year – this decade? Valley Christian still has to play Whittier Christian this Friday night in what could determine the Olympic League title.

A Closer Look at the Almont

High School Top 20: Mid-Valley Division

Not many changes at the top of the heap. Arroyo jumped to number five with a big win over Rosemead. Schurr also moved up by routing Alhambra. Baldwin Park lost but only dropped two spots since the opponent was number four Covina.

Livingston gets Good News

(Covina) – So far the news is all good for Covina quarterback Billy Livingston. It wasn’t so good Thursday night when a hard hit by Baldwin Park’s Mario Rodriguez knocked him out of the game and into the hospital for evaluation.

Venegas, Defense Carry Covina

(Covina) – Not a lot of people would be surprised to hear Covina beat Baldwin Park. But they would be surprised to hear the Colts won without quarterback Billy Livingston for an entire half.

The Peterson Principle 10/20/10

When you see a team perform like Blair performed last Thursday night, your first thought is ‘they should eliminate the program’. Then you take a few things into consideration.
