4. Michigan sophomores Nick Stauskas and Glen Robinson III both declare for the NBA draft.

5. The Ducks vs. Dallas and the Kings vs. San Jose in the first round of the NHL Western Conference playoffs.

6. Rosemead pounds South El Monte 14-2 Monday to improve to 8-0 in the MVL. The Panthers face El Monte today at 3:15 at home.

7. Alhambra senior southpaw Marco Briones: 4-0, 0.21 ERA, 33 IP, 49 strikeouts.

8. Warren is 1-28-1 over the last three years.

    Anyone who expects Lara to immediately transform that program just because he came from Poly is not in their right mind. He is now working with the complete opposite side of the talent pool.

    #3. Don’t know what Nate’s situation was, but sorry to see him go. He was going to be a bright spot for the next 2 years. Kid has talent. Hope this isn’t the flood gates opening with kids leaving because there is no head coach after Mac’s resignation. Any word, rumor, or speculation on a new head coach? Anyone?
