Saturday Night Fights: Broner-Taylor Preview

By Joseph Rodriguez

Saturday night marks the return of Adrian Broner. Broner is taking on Emmanuel Taylor, who is fresh off a victory over Kareem Mayfield. Broner vowed at Thursday’s press conference to knockout Taylor.

The two had to be separated after Broner grabbed Taylor by the throat. Broner desperately needs to look impressive after a pedestrian performance in his last fight against Carlos Molina. Hopefully the action inside the ring matches what occurred outside the ring. I feel Broner will fail to answer his critics but still win via 12 round Unanimous decision.

In the co-feature of the night hard hitting Lucas Mattheysse takes on Roberto Ortiz. Mattheysse earlier this year engaged in a fight of the year candidate battle with John Molina, which he won via TKO. This fight seems to be a stay busy fight which Mattheysse will win by TKO in the 8th round.

Rounding up the triple header Andre Berto returns to action after a year layoff.Berto is being matched lightly against Steve Chambers, in a fight to just try and get in the win column. In his last two fights Berto had two brutal outings, a 12 round decision loss war with Roberto Guerrero and a 12 round knockout loss to Jesus Soto Karass. Berto will do enough to win via 12 round Unanimous decision.
