Elijah Grijalva scored twice for the Vikings

(Montebello) Northview took a 21-3 lead late in the first half but Montebello did fight back to make it 21-17, that was a close as they the Oilers would get as the Vikes move on to the semifinals with a 42-24 victory.
*** Oilers took a 3-0 lead when Enrique Lozano hit a 51-yard field goal early in the second quarter.
*** The Vikings’ Alex Camacho took the ensuing kick off 93-yards to paydirt making it 7-3. Camacho also had touchdown runs of 45 and 56-yards.
*** Issac Mendibles kept Montebello close for 3-quaters with two rushing TDs.
*** Elijah Grijalva had two touchdowns on the ground.
*** Oilers QB Ryan Rivera cut into a Northview lead 28-24 when he found Michael Juarez for a 65-touchdown pass.
*** Vikes defensive end Jaron Reed had pressure on the QB the whole second half.
*** Northview’s Andres Hooper and Flexen Charles each had an interception.
*** Fullback Fredrick Padilla had a scoop and score when his quarterback fumbled the snap for the Vikings.
*** Northview will host Paraclete next week in the Mid Valley semifinals.
