(Paramount)–Paramount fumbled away a chance to score early and no points were put on the board by either team in the first quarter, but in the second Crescenta Valley scored three touchdowns and flew to a 35-14 victory on Friday night.

The victory put the Falcons, 12-0, in the Southeast Division semifinals and closed down the Pirates season at 7-5.

CV’s Jonathan Jun scored twice on a pair of runs and Bryan Gadsby accounted for three touchdowns. Gadsby scored on a 1-yard run in the second and connected with Tyler Hill and Jordan Lobianco through the air. The touchdown passes were his 36th and 37th of the season.

Connor Van Ginkel did not score by frustrated the Paramount defense with several chain moving grabs.

The Pirates Cassh Mulia did engineer two scoring drives to close the gap to 28-14 in the fourth quarter, but Gadsby’s 20-yard scoring pass to Lobianco and Boston Lakin’s late pic ended dreams of a comeback.
