South El Monte went 4-1 and lost a shootout to Northview who has a division 1 qb. I think they faired pretty well. As for being bullied? Lmfao it’s passing league. You are right about team speed though. Look out if they’re able to develop a 2nd and third weapon

Glad to see Bell Gardens competing. If they stay the course and learn the system (offense, defense, and weightroom) they will reap the rewards. Stay the course Bell Gardens, you have a leader that knows how to build Championship programs!

    Los Altos QB is legit.
South EM look fast and talked a lot but when bullied didn’t fare to well.
    Mtn.View looked athletic but small
Montebello looked real good, that QB got in shape.
Bell Gardens is gonna compete as long as they have a solid line.
Bassett’s QB has a good arm and some big WR to throw to but they’re numbers are gonna hurt them.

Los Altos Thor can throw the ball; if they can develop some receivers, they will surprise some people. CV lineman and skills swept the competition, both taking first. Montebello solid year in and year out. Everybody else is what we thought they would be.

What a day for football. First off as far as I’m aware, there were no injuries today so that’s the best news. CV was really good. They were too much for Northview in the finals. After great back and fourth action CV was able to pull away. Northview was short Comstock and few others during pool play. But arrived in time for a shootout vs South El Monte in round 1 of the playoffs. Couple things that I took notice too… Steven Comstock has a live arm!!! The ball zips through the air and stamps his receivers. Northview looks primed for a big run. Next, South El Monte’s Sal Tovar is the REAL DEAL. Watched him get doubled, held and kicked lol and still come down with the ball. He and the Eagles also could be playing into December. Los Altos is inching closer and closer to where we all expect that legendary program to be. A great sign the Hector Spathias and his staff are solid, in case some were still concerned. Los Altos in my humble opinion will be just fine. CV has Athletes galore wish I knew names to give them credit but man talk about talent, coaching and organization. Best team out there and they proved it.
Montebello looks like they won’t miss a beat with big strong Gabriel Tapia at QB and a fleet of athletes to throw to. The Montebello defense was stout as usual being the bullies that they are… love it. Covina athletically is dangerous they are young but should be fun to watch. Bottom line is SGV football is alive and thriving! There was even a Nick Bueno sighting at Vikings Valhalla today which is always good to see the legends of the past come out. Great job to all coaches support volunteers Mountain View for hosting a great tourney and especially to the young men between the lines. The work ethic, competitive spirit is truly a joy to watch. Keep up the fantastic work, stay healthy and remember ” Do what you love and you’ll love what you do”
