At any given time the last two weeks, the top two in the rankings could be flip-flopped. By virtue of West Ranch’s victory in Lancaster tournament, La Canada holds the top spot barely.
Bonita and Arroyo shouldn’t have any challengers heading into their perspective league match-ups.
The best battle to watch will be the Valle Vista as Covina, San Dimas, and Northview will all battle for the top spot.
- La Canada (7-1) – Lauren O’ Leary and Lauren Cox make a potent one-two punch in the circle.
- Glendora (8-1) – Tartans rebound with sweep of Calvery Murrieta in a double-header.
- Bonita (8-1-1) – Chloe Wurst averaging seven strikeouts a game and is 5-0.a
- Arroyo (7-1) – Knights dropped Arroyo Tournament opener, but also beat Rosemead in MVL opener.
- Village Christian (7-1) – Emily Seidel and Katie Lucas lead the Crusaders with their bats and arms.
- Los Altos (4-2) – Conquerors lack offensive punch in loss to Northview.
- West Covina (6-2) – Dekota Monarrez three wins and four home-runs lead the Bulldogs.
- La Salle (5-3) – Allie Forillo averaging nearly 12 strikeouts a game and Colleen McWilliams leads the team in hitting.
- Covina (3-0) – Colts begin the season strong with good pitching from Jen Vargas.
- Keppel (4-0) – Aztecs begin the season on a roll, but must contend with improved Almont League.
- Whittier (6-3) – Pauline Preciado adds some pop to a good hitting Cardinals lineup.
- South Hills (4-3-1) – Huskies biggest question mark this season is their pitching.
- San Gabriel (6-4) – Matadors have their sight set on Almont League title.
- Monrovia (5-2) – Brooke Cowell leads the team with six RBI’s in young season.
- Maranatha (4-2) – Minutemen would be higher if not for the loss to SG Mission.
- Whittier Christian (5-5) – Heralds tough pre-season schedule will be beneficial come playoff time.
- San Dimas (3-2) – Saints start Valle Vista League schedule with convincing win over Baldwin Park.
- Charter Oak (6-5) – Had a tough time in Jurupa Valley Tournament with three straight losses.
- Hoover (3-1) – Tornadoes start the season hot and beat Whittier in the process.
- Northview (4-3) – After starting the season 1-3, Vikings are red hot with three-game winning streak.
