We lost three major-league baseball greats in the last few days: Tommy Lasorda, Don Sutton, and Henry Aaron.
I remember watching on television the night of April 8, 1974 when Aaron hit home run #715 off the Dodgers’ Al Downing, breaking the career record set by Babe Ruth more than 38 years earlier.
#1 Not starting out a very good year for ex Dodgers. Vin’s wife, Tommy and now Sutton. Let’s hope that’s it.
#4 How do you fire a guy for something he did 5 years ago for a different employer? I would think a labor lawyer would eat that up. What happened to presumption of innocence ?
When I saw Mahones stumble and be glassy eyed from a concussion after taking a sack on Sunday I was surprised. The tackle did not look that hard. And on reply I still thought that. Then I thought of Dale Earnhardt the Nascar driver that died in what looked like a minor accident compared to so many other crashes that were far more horrific and the driver bounces out unscathed. I do not know what concussion protocol involves and how they clear a guy that was so obviously hurt to play but for Gods sake I hope someone has the guts to say no way should Patrick play no matter what the team Dr. says.
