- The LA Kings beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in overtime Monday night to take a 1-0 lead in their first round Western Conference playoff series.
- The Phoenix Suns beat the Clippers 123-109 Tuesday night to even their first round Western Conference playoff series at 1-1.
- The Rams are set to trade receiver Allen Robinson and a seventh-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a seventh-round draft pick.
- The Philadelphia Eagles signed quarterback Jalen Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension.
- The Cincinnati Reds signed right-hander Hunter Greene to a six-year, $55 million extension.
- Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has been fully cleared to return to play football after suffering cardiac arrest on the field on January 2 in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- Former NFL defensive end Chris Smith has passed away at the age of 31. Smith played for Cleveland, Jacksonville Cincinnati, Las Vegas and Houston during his 8 years in the NFL. The cause of death was not disclosed.
- Joe Wittmer, who most recently was an assistant coach at Warren, has joined the staff at Monrovia.
- The Kansas City Chiefs signed quarterback Blaine Gabbert to back up Patrick Mahomes.
- The Dodgers, who had lost 7 of their last 10 games coming in, beat the New York Mets 5-0 Tuesday night to even their record at 9-9 on the season. Clayton Kershaw threw seven scoreless innings and earned his 200th career victory.
