(Pico Rivera) – El Rancho’s Angel Diaz will continue his football career after High School as he signed to play with the University of La Verne in the fall.
Diaz had a big senior season for the Dons in 2022 playing tight end and running back on offense and linebacker on defense. He caught 40 passes for 732 yards and 5 touchdowns and also rushed for 573 yards on 113 carries and 8 touchdowns. He averaged over 5 yards per carry.
Defensively Diaz racked up 97 total tackles including 61 solo tackles to go along with 5.5 sacks. It all paid off as Diaz will now wear the uniform of the La Verne Leopards in the 2023 season.
ER fans delusional
Gtfo… he would lead the team in tackles.
he wouldnt make it on the field if he played at La Serna.
La Verne got a steal!
It was great watching you the last 4yrs, I have not seen someone dominate the league on Defense in some time, hopefully we have another LB soon. This year you carried your team, heart and soul, gonna miss you on that field. I honestly believe if you had the “size” , you would have numerous D1 schools at your doorstep. Thank you for staying HOME, Thank You , BLUEPRIDE!
ULV has been a great option for some of ERs players in the last two decades. good luck kid.
CONGRATULATIONS KID !
Great school, always love to see these kids keep playing the next level …
