  1. The Golden State Warriors beat the Lakers 127-100 Thursday night to even the Western Conference Semi-Finals at 1-1.
  2. The Milwaukee Bucks fired head coach Mike Budenholzer Thursday just two years removed from winning an NBA title. The Bucks were eliminated from the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs in the first round this year by the Miami Heat. 
  3. Hunter Dickinson, who played for Michigan last year and is considered the number 1 player in ESPN’s men’s basketball transfer rankings, has committed to Kansas. 
  4. Max Muncy hit a walk-off grand slam off of former Dodgers reliever Craig Kimbrel to give the Dodgers a 10-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday. 
  5. The New York Giants signed defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to a four-year, $90 million extension. 
  6. In a CIF SS Division 7 Wild Card game Wednesday Brentwood beat Coastal Christian 29-1. 
  7. The Tampa Bay Rays have the best team in baseball with a record of 26-6. The Oakland A’s are the worst at 6-26. 
  8. On this date in 1969 the Boston Celtics beat the Lakers 108-106 in Game 7 at the Forum in Inglewood to win the NBA Championship. Lakers guard Jerry West was named Finals MVP despite being on the losing team.  
  9. Happy Birthday to former USC star guard/ NBA player Harold Miner who turns 52 today. 
  10. “I always felt the worst thing to happen to Harold was the ‘Baby Jordan’ tag.” – Former college basketball head coach George Raveling who was Miner’s head coach at USC.
